U.S. Pentagon (Design/Build) Renovation Program

Arlington, VA

The project consists of construction of a new 80,000 square foot hangar and associated facility to support research, development, testing, and evaluation (RDT and E) of Unmanned Carrier Launched Aerial Surveillance Systems (UCLASS) and to be located on the primary airfield at Naval Air Station (NAS) Patuxent River. The hangar consists of shops, maintenance administration, squadron administration/operations, and hangar bay spaces to support the program.

  • Masonry inspections and testing

  • Structural Steel inspections

  • Spray-applied fireproofing

  • Asphalt compaction/observation of proof-rolling of sub-grade & sub-base

  • Laboratory Testing (standard/modified proctors, sieve analysis, Atterberg limits, compressive strength on grout cubes, concrete cylinders, mortar/grout samples, CMU unit prisms, 

  • fireproofing density samples
