Holtwood Hydro Electric Power Plant Expansion

OVERVIEW

The Holtwood Hydroelectric Power Plant expansion project includes the 125-megawatt addition to the existing 108 megawatt plant, the demolition of an on-site existing coal-fired power plant, the construction of a new hydroelectric powerhouse, improvements to the fish passage at the Holtwood dam, and extensive roadway and rail modifications. There are more than 67,000 cubic yards of concrete, an on-site batch plant, more than 3,700 tons of reinforcing steel and more than 1.5 million cubic yards of excavation.
