CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS TESTING & INSPECTION

Specialized Engineering has extensive experience with a variety of Construction Quality Control projects. Our personnel’s experience includes administration and inspection of projects governed by the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC), Arlington County, (VA) Special Inspections Program, Montgomery County (MD) Complex Structures Manual, Fairfax County (VA) Critical Structures Manual (and the new Fairfax County (VA) Special Inspections Manual), Army/Navy Contractor Quality Control Programs and the BOCA National Building Code Section 1705 “Special Inspections”.

The typical services that our personnel perform on Construction Quality Control projects includes inspection and testing of foundations, structural fills and backfills, precast and cast-in-place concrete, grout, mortar, reinforcing and structural steel, roofing, fireproofing and asphalt. Our testing and inspection services are performed in accordance with national and local standards such as ASTM, ACI, AASHTO, AWS, AISC, VDOT and MDOT. Our technical personnel work under the supervision of a Professional Engineer.

Our field personnel are certified in the particular discipline that he or she is designated to inspect and test by the Washington Area Council of Engineering Laboratories (WACEL) and/or the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET).

Contractor Quality Control (CQC) Services is one of our ‘specialties.’ Specialized Engineering has developed a proven track record for implementing and successfully completing all phases required by the A/N Contractor Quality Control Program. Our services include:
